Abstract

The objective of this research is to describing the design of receivable information system development of sea Transport Company. Sea Transport Company taken as object in this research is PT. Pelayaran Sakti Inti Makmur. This company is one of the biggest sea transport companies in Indonesia, even has some branch of the company at some Provinces in Indonesia. Research has finding weaknesses on receivable information system which is used by PT. Pelayaran Sakti Inti Makmur in this time. Those weaknesses are: ticket distribution to post/agent not yet been booked well, so also with printing physical exist in can’t be traced early, addiction from executor less hold responsible so that receivable in post heap, account form not fulfilled the operation target yet that is transaction of ticket sale not yet been noted as according to the time transaction happened and not classified well yet, and information operation which still be done manually. In order to overcome those weaknesses, the development of the old system has to be done to create a new receivable information system which is more effective and efficient than before.
