Abstract

Personal hygiene or in bahasa perawatan diri is a self-care that carried out to maintain health, physically and psychological. Self-fulfillment influenced by several factors, they are: cultures, social values of individuals or families, knowledge of personal hygiene and perception of personal hygiene. This research aims to determine the relationship of knowledge with personal hygiene in children at Panti Asuhan Al-Yamin Palembang. This research used a cross sectional design. Population of this research were all the children at Panti Asuhan Al-Yamin Palembang, totaling 53 children and using total sampling techniques. The data was collected using a questionnaires and analyzed using Chi- Square test with p<0,005. The result showed that there was a significant relationship between personal hygiene knowledge and personal hygiene with children in Panti Asuhan Al-Yamin Palembang and p value in number (0,000)<0,05.
