Abstract

This study entitled "The Work Ethic of Javanese Transmigration Rubber Farmers in Bunga Mayang Village, Jayapura District, Ogan Komering Ulu Timur Regency. The research problem in this study is about the work ethic of Javanese transmigration rubber farmers in Bunga Mayang Village. This research is a qualitative research using a case study research strategy. The unit of analysis in this research is individuals, namely individuals of Javanese transmigration rubber farmers in Bunga Mayang Village. Data collection was obtained through in-depth informant interviews and direct observation and documentation. The results of this study try to describe how the work ethic of Javanese transmigration rubber farmers and then analyzed using the J. Sinamo concept that there are four concepts owned by Javanese transmigration rubber farmers. In fact, the concept of Sinamo has 8 criteria in work ethics but only four are owned by farmers. The Javanese transmigration rubber, namely work is a gift (to work with gratitude) The resilience of a rubber farmer can be seen from their physical strength, and what obstacles make rubber farmers decrease such as the influence of the climate and the price of rubber itself, working is a mandate, (work really full of responsibility) tough soul can stand the test in difficult circumstances people like this will work as hard as possible and the end result is up to God, work is actualliasai (I work passionately) The hard work of rubber farmers can be seen from the use or use of hours work, and work is (working as seriously as with love). With the intention they can establish a lofty goal for what this work is done. In this relationship, it cannot be separated from the philosophy of life.
