Abstract

Penelitian ini berir-rdul "Pengaruh Terpaan Pesan lklan Baha;ra Nlerokol< Terhadap Motivasi Berhenti Merokok Pada Mahasisu,a Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Politik Universitas Sriw.iia-va Palembang" .vang mengangkat permasaiahan pengaruh pesan iklan bahaya pada kemasan rokok terhadap rnotivasi berhenti merokok. adapun penelitian ini bertu jutrn untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh pesan gambar peringatan bahay,a yang ada pada kemasan lokok. terhadap mahasiswa FISIP Unsri. Penelitian ini menggunakan rnetode kuantitatif dengarr teknik deskriptif eksplanatif. Adapun teori yang digunakan ,t,aitu The Mere Extrtos'ure Ellbct dan Protection Motivation Theon, (PMT). Data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dari data prinrer. data sekunder dan hasil pent'ebaran angket pada responden. Beldasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan. maka ditemukan adan)'a pengaruh pesan iklan bahaya pada kenrasan rokok terhadap motivasi berhenti merokok pada rnahasislva sebesar 27,6% dan sisanya yaitu berdasarkan factor lairrnya. Jadi dapat disimpulkan pesan iklan gambar bahal,a pada kenrasan rokok tidak terlalu besar pengarr,rhnya terhadap motivasi berhenti merokok.
