Abstract
This research aimed to develop test-items of critical thinking based contextual on the immunity system material for senior high school which were valid, reliable, and practical. This research was a research and development with 4-D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). The sample of this study is Sumatera Selatan State SHS in Science program in Palembang City, South Sumatera Province, Indonesia. The data collection technique used interview, literature review, expert review, and test-items. This research developed an multiple choices test consisting of 30 items based contextual and adjusted with critical thinking indicators by Ennis. The result of this study were: 1) The assessment test by experts based on materials, construction, and language gained score above 0.61 which mean the item-tests were valid. 2) based on empirical validation; a) there were 18 valid items and 12 invalid items; b) The level of reliability of the test items was 0.53 so the test items were moderate; c) There were 4 easy items, 19 medium items, and 7 difficult items; (d) based on discriminating power, 11 items were in poor category, 8 items were in moderate category, 9 items were in good category, 1 item was in fair good category, and 1 item was in bad category. Based on the results of the expert judgements and trials, it can be concluded that there were 6 feasible items; e) practicaly instrument gained score 3.04 which mean it was in practical category. Based on the result there were 18 feasible items.
