Abstract

Nowadays, information dissemination is getting faster. The speed at which this information is distributed has demanded that people innovate in presenting digital-based communication media, namely social media. Social media can be used by anyone, including regional heads, to provide information on the area. Ridwan Kamil's Instagram account has 12 million followers from all over Indonesia. Ridwan Kamil uses Instagram to promote West Java tourism. This study looks at the West Java tourism marketing communication strategy through an Instagram account Ridwan Kamil. This research uses 4C theory in social media marketing by Chris Heuer using qualitative methods and descriptive data types. Data collection techniques using content analysis techniques and documentation studies. The results showed that the strongest tourism marketing communication strategy through Ridwan Kamil's Instagram account was context and communication. This can be seen from the results of the analysis of 20 tourism content in Ridwan Kamil's Instagram account. Ridwan Kamil has implemented the 4C dimensions in social media marketing including context and communication. Keywords: Content Analysis, Tourism Marketing, Ridwan Kamil
