Abstract
The Solar Power Plant (PLTS) converts energy from sunlight (photons) into electrical energy through a photovoltaic process. The output power produced by solar panels is very dependent on the characteristics of temperature, humidity ,and also the intensity of solar radiation. Manual measurement is considered inefficient. Therefore we need a real time data recording device called Datalogger based on Arduino. The Datalogger has voltage tolerance percentage 0,025%, temperature tolerance percentage 0,08%, and humidity tolerance percentage 0,025%. Datalogger is capable of recording a maximum of 5 solar panels simultaneously. Dataloggers are capable of measuring current, voltage, temperature, and humidity.The use of perforated aluminum plate as a cooling medium can increase the power output of solar panels. It can be seen from the research data, at 12:00 the average power output of panels without plate is 23.05 W, while the average poweroutput of solar panels with plates 10mm, 12.5mm, and 15mm, respectively. 27.67 W, 33.26W, and 47.61 W.While for the efficiency, the greater the temperature the better the efficiency. After measurement and calculation, it was found that the maximum efficiency that can be achieved by Polycrystalline solar panels is 48,69% when the radiation intensity received is 245,6W / m2 and the power output is 81,26 W.
