Abstract
Electrical energy has now become so important in everyday life. Therefore, renewable energy sources are needed, one of which is the river wave power plant. One source of renewable energy is river waves, the waves produced can produce electrical energy which will be stored in batteries and then can be used as a source of electrical energy. In this generator, a converter is needed to convert the voltage generated by the magnetic generator in the form of AC voltage into DC voltage so that it can be supplied to the battery. An ac-dc converter or rectifier is a device for converting alternating current into direct current. The supporting components to produce this electrical energy conversion are diode bridges, capacitors and voltage risers. From the results of testing on a river wave power plant that has been designed in the research that has been carried out it can produce a voltage of 13.5 Volts from a magnetic generator output of 10.9 Volts. By using this converter, it can help charging the battery to fill the required voltage for 2 3.7 Volt Li-ion batteries.
