Abstract
Tap testing (impulse test), also known as modal testing, is an experimental modal analysis method used to excite machine tool systems to extract harmonic information such as vibration mode. An impulse hammer or instrumented test hammer is a tool designed for the purpose of excitation of vibrations in the test object. The impulse hammer design consists of three parts, namely the mechanical or structural part, the electrical part, and the software part. The impulse hammer system testing was carried out according to the standard procedure for code validation in the Arduino IDE program. From the test results obtained raw data in CSV format (Commas Separated Variables) which consists of the arrangement of data in the form of rows and columns. The results of testing the raw data obtained at sample number 946 show the raw data value of 4143510 with a hammerhead mass of 62 grams, a hammerhead mass that produces better vibration efficiency.
