Abstract

Pabrik Isostearic Acid (Asam Isostearat) direncanakan berlokasi di daerah Batam, Kepulauan Riau. Pabrik ini meliputi area seluas 4,498 Ha dengan kapasitas 24.000 ton per tahun. Proses pembuatan Asam Isostearat dilakukan dengan mengisomerisasi Asam Oleat di dalam reaktor (R-01) pada suhu 260 oC dan tekanan 1,38 MPa. Serta dengan menghidrogenasi produk keluaran R-01 pada reaktor (R-02) pada suhu 170oC dan tekanan 2,76 Mpa. Pada R-01, asam oleat di konversi 94,1% menjadi asam isooleat dengan beberapa produk samping, lalu reaksi selanjutnya berlangsung di R-02 yang berfungsi mengkonversi asam asam isooleat menjadi asam isostearat dengan konversi total 99,90%. Produk yang didapatkan dari R-02 masih belum murni, sehingga dilakukan proses pemisahan dan pemurnian melalui kristalisasi dan distilasi untuk didapatkan asam isostearat dengan kemurnian cukup tinggi. Pabrik ini merupakan perusahaan yang berbentuk Perseroan Terbatas (PT) dengan sistem organisasi line and staff, yang dipimpin oleh seorang direktur utama dengan jumlah karyawan 136 orang. Berdasarkan hasil analisa ekonomi, maka Pabrik Pembuatan Asam Isostearat ini dinyatakan layak didirikan, diantaranya: • Investasi = US$ 327.908.176,52 • Hasil penjualan per tahun = US$ 251.944.693,84 • Biaya produksi per tahun = US$ 119.672.162,83 • Laba bersih per tahun = US $ 119.045.277,91 • Pay Out time = 2,31 tahun • Rate of return on investment = 36,300% • Discounted Cash Flow –ROR = 42,780 % • Break Even Point = 30,990 % • Service Life = 11 tahun Kata Kunci : Saturated Branched Chain Fatty Acid, Isostearic Acid, Pabrik, Proses Isomerisasi dan Hidrogenasi Asam Oleat, Analisa Ekonomi
