Abstract
This study aims to describe the understanding of students in class X IPS 3 on economic subjects with the subject matter of the role of economic actors in economic activities at SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The population in this study were all class X IPS SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya and the sample in this study was class 10t IPS 3 which amounted to 31 students. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique. Data collection techniques using tests, interviews, and documentation. Students' understanding is measured through 4 aspects of indicators, namely explaining the material, giving examples of the material being taught, clarifying or observing, and comparing the subject matter. The results of the study show an overview of the understanding of students in class 10t IPS 3 regarding 4 indicators categorized as quite understanding with an overall average percentage of 67.93%, meaning that students still do not show a good understanding of the material.
