Abstract
This study aims to determine the application of leaflet teaching materials with a contextual approach in improving student learning outcomes in PPKn subjects at SMAN 3 Tanjung Raja. This study is a quantitative study with a population that is all students of SMAN 3 Tanjung Raja. The sample in this study were 30 students in class XI IIS 1 as the experimental class and 33 students in XI IIS 2 as the control class. The sample technique used is purposive sampling, which is based on certain considerations of students. Data collection techniques were obtained using documentation and tests. The statistics used are parametric statistics through hypothesis testing using the Independent Samples T-Test with a significance level of α = 0.05, the results of the hypothesis test obtained tcount> ttable, namely tcount = 2.485> ttable = 1.670 at a significance level of 5% (α = 0 , 05). In other words, the results of this study have accepted the hypothesis Ha and rejected Ho due to a significant increase in the application of leaflet teaching materials with a contextual approach in improving student learning outcomes in PPKn subjects at SMAN 3 Tanjung Raja.
