Abstract
This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of teacher professional education activities (PPG) in the Teaching of Education Faculty, Sriwijaya University in producing professional teachers. This study uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approaching. The population of this study amount 61 people with using the sample techniques namely saturated sample, then the total of samples in this study were 61 people. Data collection techniques which used as documentation, questionnaires, observations, and interviews. To determine the effectiveness of the implementation of teacher professional education (PPG) activities in Teachng of Education Faculty, Sriwijaya University in producing professional teachers used descriptive analysis and statistical techniques based on the criteria for interpretation of effective scores (≥ 60.5) and ineffective (≤ 60.5). The results of data analysis from the four techniques of data collection can be concluded that the implementation of PPG activities in Teaching of Education Faculty in producing professional teachers can be carried out effectively with an average of 83.15.
