Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of physical work environment on employee job satisfaction at processing department of PTPN VII UPKS Sungai Niru. The population in this study were all employee at processing department of PTPN VII UPKS Sungai Niru using a cencus of 54 respondents. Data collection method used in this study was obtained from questionnaires. Used analysis technique is simple linear regression analysis. Based on the results of the analysis, it is concluded that the physical work environment has a positive and significant impact on employee job satisfaction at processing department of PTPN VII UPKS Sungai Niru. Based on the research results, company should focus on improving the physical work environment, especially on following dimensions: work equipment, lighting and air circulation. Company also should focus on improving job satisfaction especially on following dimensions: supervise, compensation, promotion and co-workers.
