Abstract

The variety types of laptops on the market make it difficult for potential buyers to choose a laptop that suits their needs. In order to help ease the problems of prospective laptop buyers, a decision support system software is developed that provides laptop recommendations. The decision support system method used is the Analythic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and the Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS). The combination of the AHP and TOPSIS methods in the decision support system for the selection of laptops has been succesfully implemented with the percentage of perceived usefulness reaching 85.76% and the percentage of perceived ease of use reaching 76.9%.
