Abstract

PDAM Tirta Musi Palembang is one of the regional-owned business units, which is engaged in the distribution of clean water for the general public who has a vision of continuing to strive to be the best water provider in Indonesia. So that in the implementation of water production and maintenance / repairs at PDAM Tirta Musi Palembang, employees who are experts in supervising water production and maintenance / repair of production machines are needed and determine the right solution in case of damage to production machines knowledge management activities and knowledge sharing in the management of maintenance and repair of clean water production machines at PDAM Tirta Musi Palembang need to be developed using a knowledge management system and utilizing technology with the aim of making it easier to spread knowledge, manage and take appropriate problem solutions for cases in the field. In this study, the application of Case Based Reasoning (CBR) with the Modified K-Nearest Neighbor algorithm was carried out to support problem management and knowledge solutions based on the CBR approach, namely retrieve, reuse, revise and retain the solution to the problem of managing maintenance and repair of clean water production machines. The results show that the application of CBR to the knowledge management system for the management of maintenance and repair of web-based water production machines can support the management of problem solutions based on the retrieve, reuse, revise and retain approaches to knowledge data, problems and solutions that exist in the knowledge database of maintenance and repair management clean water production machine.
