Abstract

This study aims to determine the ef ect of ballhandling training on basketball dribbling skills in extracurricular activities at SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya Utara. The research method used is a quasi-experimental research method. The research design used was a one group pretest-posttest design. the population is all students who take part in basketball extracurricular activities at SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya Utara, totaling 30 people. The research sample used is a sample of 30 people (total sampling). The research instrument was that all samples took a basketball dribbling test. From the results of data processing and analysis using the data normality test and hypothesis testing with the t test formula, that ballhandling practice af ects basketball dribbling skills. This can be seen from the results of data analysis through the calculation of the t test formula with the criteria tcount greater than ttable (8.70 1.70) with a confidence level of 0.95 (α = 0.05) and the number of samples (N = 30), then the proposed hypothesis is accepted. Ballhandling training significantly influences basketball dribbling skills. Based on the results of research on the ef ect of ballhandling training which is thought to have an influence on basketball dribbling skills, it turns out to have a significant ef ect on dribbling skills in basketball extracurricular at SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya Utara.
