Abstract
The study aims was to determine the patterns of fiber degradation of fractions (NDF, ADF, hemicellulose, and cellulose) oil palm fronds by in sacco. This research was conducted from February to May 2021 at Laboratory of Animal Husbandry Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwjaya University and Animal Nutrition and Forage Laboratory of Animal Husbandry Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwjaya University. This study consisted 3 treatments, including P0 ( Pailm frond powder), P1 (Palm frond powder added 1% vitamin B complex), and P2 (palm frond powder added vitamin B complex 3%) which were incubated in buffalo fistulated (age 2,5 years) using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 3 replications. Parameters observed were degradation patterns which including total digestibility and digestibility rate. Treatment differences were analyzed with the help of SPSS software and Duncan's Test. The degradation pattern was shown by using the Microsoft Excel 2007 degradation curve. The results of these study was indicate that each level of vitamin B complex, has a different pattern of degradation and increases in each treatment and incubation period. The highest degradation was given with 3% vitamn B complex (P2), while the peak incubation period was seen at 48 hours.
