Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes on the circumference and area of flat shapes in grade IV SD Negeri 244 Palembang by using Pop-Up Book media. This research uses classroom action research method in three cycles of action. Data collection techniques used in the form of tests, observations and documentation. Classroom action research has four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects in this study were fourth grade students at SD Negeri 244 Palembang with a total of 10 students consisting of 4 male students and 6 female students. The results of this study indicate that the success of student learning outcomes in cycle I is 40%, in cycle II is 60%, in cycle III the success of student learning outcomes is 80%. The increase in student learning outcomes is also supported by the activeness of students during the learning process. The results of the observation of student activity in the first cycle of 47.5%, in the second cycle of 64.17%, in the third cycle the success of student learning outcomes reached 83.75%. Based on these data, it can be concluded that using Pop-Up Book media can improve the learning outcomes of fourth grade students at SD Negeri 244 Palembang on the circumference and area of flat shapes.
