Abstract
Primary school aged is a period of growth and development of children towards adolescence so that they are vulnerable to nutritional problems or malnutrition. The school-age period has a considerable impact on the next life. Several factors that can cause malnutrition, some of which are food intake in terms of food diversity, family income and knowledge possessed by a person. The research design is cross-sectional. The sample in this research is obtained using the hypothesis test formula of two different proportions, with the total sample is 88. Analysis of the relationship using the chi-square test. The data will be presented in the form of tables and narratives to interpret the data. The results obtained are as much as 87.5% of the diversity of children's food consumption is high, nutritional status is not normal as much as 55.7%, mother's knowledge is good as much as 47.7%, and high family income is 51.1%. The conclusion of this research is there is no relationship between the diversity of food consumption and nutritional status in elementary school children, P-value = 0.997, there is no relationship between mother's level of knowledge and nutritional status, P-value = 1,000, and there is a relationship between the level of family income and nutritional status P-value = 0.005. However, the consumption of diverse foods must still be applied to each individual, in this case is children, because the diversity of food consumption will prevent micronutrient deficiencies, thus preventing the occurrence of diseases in children.
