Abstract

Developments in the industry every year create a high demand for work and cause high risks in work, especially in work postures. Body position that is carried out continuously for a long duration will be fatal if it is not given attention, it is necessary to do research. The Quick Exposure Checklist (QEC) method is used to determine the risk of injury to the skeletal muscles or the Musculoskeletal system (Musculoskeletal disorder) which focuses on the upper body, namely the back, neck, shoulders and wrists. Energy consumption obtained from the calculation of heart rate before and after work. From the research results, workers may be at risk based on the QEC table, the amount of energy consumption needed and the complaints felt by workers. The QEC score of 113 workers is included in the action level 3 and will be carried out in the near future. The calculation of the total energy consumption of 11.76 Kcal/minute with the category of work level is considered very heavy. Complaints experienced by workers are based on the results of the Nordic Body Map questionnaire.
