Abstract

This aims of this study was to prove the effect of learning concentration on student learning outcomes in economic subjects at UPT SMA Negeri 3 Empat Lawang. This method of this study was quantitative research with causal associative method. The population in this study were all students of the eleventh grade of IPS at UPT SMA Negeri 3 Empat Lawang, and the sample in this study was the elevent grade IPS 1 that consist of 32 students. The sampling technique used was the Cluster Random Sampling technique. Data collection techniques used in the form of tests and questionnaires. The data analysis technique for participant learning outcomes was obtained from multiple choice tests and questionnaire data analysis was obtained from filling out questionnaires from students carrying out the learning process. The hypothesis uses paramentric statistics, namely the t-test obtained by tcount ≥ ttable , namely 7,368 ≥ 2,042, which means Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So it ca be said that there is an effect of learning concentration on student learning outcomes in economics subjects at UPT SMA Negeri 3 Empat Lawang. Due to the low ability of studnets to analyze and apply the knowledge gained, it is recommended that in the learning process students focus more attention and educator provide examples in everyday life related to the material being studied.
