Abstract

The objectives of this research are: To identify the types of information and forms of products that geranium consumers need from the internet or online newsgroups /forums. Analyzing marketing strategies for marketing geranium information products through online media. Calculate the estimated cost, revenue and efficiency of online marketing of geranium information products. This research was conducted from April to June 2019. The information that is most needed by geranium hobbyists from online forums is information related to collections owned by forum members. And the form of information product needed online is an ebook in PDF format. Geranium marketing strategy is to market geranium information products through online media with a marketing mix strategy, namely STP and 4P. STP (Segmentation based on age group, gender, and monthly consumer income, Targeting is the income of geranium plant consumers from the middle to upper class, and Positioning is to create quality geranium plant information products, more attractive than sellers of other geranium plant information products.) 4P (Product is a geranium plant information product with an attractive cover design, format that is easy to access and download, easy to read fonts, consistent color scheme, Price is the highest price that can be purchased by the buyer, and then if you find the information product is not sells, the seller can reduce the price or discount the information product, Place is direct distribution without going through other intermediaries, and Promotion is by placing ads on Facebook Ads, posting quotes from e-books on online forums, Facebook groups and also online media such as Shopee , Tokopedia, Pinterest and LinkedIn. The result of the income ratio is 8.8. Meanwhile, the marketing efficiency of geranium plant information products is 2.14%, where the smaller the percentage of marketing efficiency obtained, the more efficient the marketing system.
