Abstract

This study aims to describe the implemantation and impact of the existence of destination branding, especially religious tourism object of the Al-Qur’an Al- Akbar in the New Normal Era. This research was conducted by means of qualitative descriptive method, namely by going directly to the field, conducting interview, and also doing documentations, then described and analyzed things related to destination branding in Al-Qur’an Al-Akbar religious tourism. The research was conducted in the Al-Ihsaniyah Gandus islamic boarding school in Palembang, which also the object the location of the Al-Qur’an Al-Akbar religious tourism object. The result of this study indicate that Al-Qur’an Al-Akbar religious tourism has tremedous potential as a religious tourism object in the city of Palembang, but the management of Al-Qur’an Al-Akbar religious tourism has not carried out destination branding optimally, so that Al-Qur’an Al-Akbar religious tourism is difficult to develop.
