Abstract

Development of illustrated story-based teaching materials on fractional arithmetic operations in class V SD Negeri 13 Talang Kelapa. Aims to produce a valid product in the form of picture story-based teaching materials on fractional material in fifth grade elementary school. The type of research used is research and development using development procedures according to Sugiyono. This research is only limited to step 7. The illustrated story-based teaching materials developed by the researcher have quality based on validation tests for material experts, design experts, linguists and classroom teachers. The value obtained from the material expert is 78.5% in the "valid" category, the value from the design expert is 91.6% in the "very valid" category, the value from the linguist is 90% in the "very valid" category and the grade from the class teacher is 85% with the "very valid" category. The results of student responses after a limited trial was conducted to 19 students of class V C SD Negeri 13 Talang Kelapa in the three stages of the trial obtained an average score of 89% in the "very good" category. From the results obtained, it can be said that illustrated story-based teaching materials on fractional material in grade V SD are suitable for use in the learning process as a companion book to convey material in class.
