Abstract

This study aims to describe the analysis of the needs of students and teachers for adobe flash cs6 media and describe the results of validation of adobe flash cs6 media on learning to write explanatory texts for class VIII students of SMPN 2 Indralaya, Kabupaten Ogan Ilir district. This research is a research and development with the modified Alessi and Trollip model. The development stages that have been carried out in this research consist of interviews, questionnaires, and validation sheets. The data obtained from the interviews were carried out to analyze the data in detail, then the questionnaire data obtained were then presented as a percentage, while the data obtained from the validation sheets were described. To determine the validity of the media, media validation, material validation, and linguistic validation were carried out. The results showed that the adobe flash cs6 media made was declared valid by the validation expert. The material aspect scored 27 out of a total of 32 with a percentage of 84%, the media aspect scored 28 out of a total of 32 with a percentage of 87% and the language aspect scored 17 out of a total of 28 with a percentage of 61%. This shows that the learning media for writing explanatory text using Adobe Flash CS6 is valid for students to use.
