Abstract

Cases of using handphone with internet access in Indonesia, especially in Lampung Province is still relatively high in preschoolers. The negative impact of excessive use of handphone and not supervised by parents can affect the ability of socialization of children declined. Decreased socialization skills will have an impact on the child becoming aggressive, difficult to get along, selfish, selfish and difficult to work together. One of the efforts in improving the ability of socialization of children is to provide intervention of a game. In giving intervention, the game used in this research is a snake ladder game. This study aims to determine the effect of snake ladder play on the ability of socialization of preschool children. The research design used was Pre-Experiment with one group pre-test and post-test design located in RA Muslimat NU 1 Tulus Rejo. Sample amounted to 18 children obtained by purposive sampling technique. Bivariate data analysis using marginal homogeneity test. The average result of the socialization ability of the children before being given the game of snake ladder is less as much as 6 (33,3%), enough 10 (55,6%) and good 2 (11,1%), after given less ladder snake game to 1 (5.6%), enough as much as 5 (27.8%) and good increase to 12 (66.7%). The result of the research shows that there is influence of socialization ability before and after given game of snake ladder with p value (0.000) <0.05 where game of snake ladder effective in improving socialization ability in preschooler.
