Abstract

This research was carried out for five months in the Experimental Cage of the Animal Husbandry Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. This study used 100 chickens aged 1 day from PT. Ciomas Adisatwa, Segayam Village, Gelumbang District, Muara Enim Regency. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 replications. The treatments consisted of P0 (control), P1 (drinking water + wuluh starfruit solution 4%), P2 (drinking water + wuluh starfruit solution 6%), P3 (drinking water + wuluh starfruit solution 8%) and P4 (drinking water + wuluh starfruit solution) star fruit wuluh 10%). The observed variables included live weight, carcass weight, carcass percentage and commercial carcass slices. The results showed that the giving of starfruit solution up to 10% had no significant effect (P>0.5) on live weight, carcass weight, carcass percentage and commercial carcass slices. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that giving a solution of starfruit up to 10% to native chickens has not been able to produce live weight, carcass weight, carcass percentage and commercial carcass slices optimally.
