Abstract

This research is research and development (R & D) which aims to produce contextual-based teaching materials on scale materials. The development model used in this study is the ADDIE model with five stages, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. This research is limited to researchers until the stage of development and produce a final product. Based on the results of the validation that has been carried out on contextual-based teaching materials assessed by the validator, the total value of the material aspect from the material expert is 87.5% in the "Very Valid" category, the total design aspect value from the design expert is 75% in the "Valid" category. and the total value of the class teacher is 90% with the category "Very Valid". The results of student responses after a limited trial was carried out with 19 fifth grade students at SD Negeri 02 Indralaya in three stages of the trial obtained an average score of 88.99% in the "Very Good" category. Based on the results of the assessment, it can be concluded that the contextual-based teaching materials are valid and appropriate to be used as additional books to support learning activities and can be used by teachers as a companion book for learning activities in the classroom. In the future, it is hoped that this teaching material can be developed even better in terms of material and appearance.
