Abstract

This study aims to describe the stimulation of gross motor skills of children aged 5-6 years during the Covid-19 pandemic in Srijaya Palembang Village. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research type. Data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis used by the researcher is the qualitative data analysis of Miles and Huberman, namely collecting data from interviews, observations, and documentation. Then, reduce the data obtained from the field, then present the data in the form of a short narrative and draw conclusions. This study took two research subjects, namely, two parents who have children aged 5-6 years. The results of this study indicate that the stimulation carried out by parents and other families on the gross motor skills of children aged 5-6 years during the Covid-19 pandemic with direct practice and repeated habituation so that children are accustomed to doing gross motor activities such as doing activities of running, jumping rope, gymnastics, and playing ball.
