Abstract

In delivering information to the public about Palembang City tourism, Palembang City Tourism Office has a website that they manage and is accessible to the public. But from the user's side, the website is quite difficult to be accessed through the mobile browser so that the delivery of the information does not go well. Another thing to be noted is how to give tourism experience to the tourists visiting as the tourism experience is one of the shortcomings in the tourism sector. To provide a better and accessible information and to provide or enhance the tourism experience, a system development utilizing augmented reality technology is being done. Augmented reality technology is a technology that can combine 2 or 3 dimensions and display it realistically. By implementing this technology using the markerless augmented reality method 3D object tracking technique is expected to help the delivery of information and provide or improve the tourism experience.
