Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the interaction of students with peers affect the social attitude of students in SMAN 1 Muara Padang. this research using quantitative approach with expost facto research method, where the population of students studied amounted to 136 students and samples taken amounted to 100 students. The selection was done by random sampling technique taken randomly from the total population. Data collection is done by documentation technique and questionnaire. Based on the results of data analysis with simple linear regression formula obtained a significance value of 0.000 and value (α) of 0.05. Thus, the result obtained is the value of sign <α (0,000 <0.05), then the decision taken H0 rejected and Ha accepted. Then from the value of R Square visible results of 0.423, the number shows that the magnitude of the effect of student interaction variables with peers of 42.3% and the rest influenced by variables that are not examined. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence of student interaction with peers against social attitudes of students in SMAN 1 Muara Padang Banyuasin.
