Abstract
This research aims to know the learning model used in biology subjects teacher SMA Negeri of Palembang is in compliance with the model therefore strongly advised in 2013 and curriculum constraints faced by teachers in implementing the model the learning. This research uses qualitative descriptive method. The technique of sampling purposive sampling technique was done with. Data retrieval is performed at 6 X-grade teachers of subjects in biology. An examination of the implementation plan of learning that teachers get A percentage of 85% with the very good category, teachers B and D of 74% with a good category, teachers C and F of 84% with a category of very good teachers, and E of 75% with a category either. The model of learning that is most often used in biological subjects teacher SMA Negeri of Palembang is a Discovery Learning. The constraints experienced by teachers in applying a model of learning including allocation of time is insufficient, the management class that doesn't run with insufficient, classroom environment that is less conducive and not active learners in the learning process.
