Abstract

This study is titled "analysis of the application of journalistic language in news of the development of covid 19 in Indonesia in 2021 (study on media online okezone.com)". News is one of the journalistic products that are easily found in various media, whether online, print and television which contains reports of events or events that are currently dan have occurred. News in the mass media are widcly used in everyday life generally newspaper, radio, television and in othe fields. In the delivery of news through online media or mass media is required to apply journalistic language rules properly and correctly, because it is role is very important, especially in the news of the development of covid 19 in Indonesia in 2021. Every journalistic product has rules of journalistic language that must be applied by journalists as the main rule in the making of a journalistic work (news). In this study the outhor uses a qualitative content analysis method using benchmark from the Theory of Reah 2000 to find out how the application of journalistic language in online media okezone.com specifically reports on the development of covid 19 in Indonesia in June 2021.
