Abstract
Permethrin photodegradation has conducted using montmorillonite-Ti02. Photodegradation carried out with the aid of UV light on variations in ratio of the photocatalyst weight (grams): pesticide volume (ml) 1 :5; 1 : 10; 1 : 15; 1 : 20; 1 : 20; and 1 : 25, variation of irradiation time (minutes) 0, 50, 100, 150, 200 and 250 as well as variations of the initial concentration of pesticides (ppm) 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50. Permethrin pesticide analysis were performed using an UV-vis spectrophotometer measured at 280 nm. Photodegradation process results had lower levels of permethrin on the initial concentration of 20 ppm with a time of irradiation for 100 minutes and a photocatalyst weight ratio: pesticide volume was 1 g : 5 ml.
