Abstract

This research is to develop teaching materials for learning media using focusky who can be used by Students in Indonesian language learning class XI SMK Negeriku Sumatera Selatan. The development plan aims to (1) describe the result of the analysis the students and teacher's needs class XI SMK Negeri Sumatera Selatan for learning media of writing short story using Focusky application (2) describe focusky media design in writing short story text learning for class XI Students SMK Negeri Sumatera Selatan (3) describe the result of expert validation of focusky media in writing short story text learning for class XI Students SMK Negeri Sumatera Selatan. The research method who used is research and development from Alesso and Trollip (2001). Data Collection technique of the research is interview, Questionnaires and expert validation sheets. Validation is done by three experts, that's media, material, and language aspects. Based on the result of the analysis the students and teacher's needs on the distribution of Questionnaires carried out by a statement from the overall summary that Students and teacher need focusky media learning as learning support facility. Then, based on the result of validation that on media score aspect get total score 86 with percentage 90,53%. On material aspect get total score 54 with percentage 90%, and language aspectbget total score 28 with percentage 93,33%. Based on the result of validation, it can be conclude that writing short story media learning using Focusky for class XI Students SMK Negeri Sumatera Selatan, it categorize as very valid to use in learning.
