Abstract
Research on the effect of hydrocracking temperature and weight of catalyst on hydrocracking product from jantropa crude oil (JCO) has been done using Active Natural Zeolite Chromium (Cr-ZAA) catalyst. Hydrocracking JCO has been processed under variation temperature and weight of catalyst. Product analysis include density, viscosity, and oil fraction include gasoline, kerosene, and diesel. The result shows that when the temperature increases, viscosity and density of the hydrocracking products tend to decrease. Meanwhile when the catalyst weight increases, viscosity and density of the hydrocracking product is likely to increase. Distilation of hydrocracking product after analyzed using GLC shows that temperature of 350°C produces 9,40% gassoline fraction, 250°C produces 5,10% kerosene fraction and 450°C produces 98,02%% diesel fraction. While 1,5 gram catalyst can produce 52,46% gassoline fraction, then 2,0 gram catalyst produces 15,29% kerosene fraction and 1,0 gram catalyst produces 98,02% diesel fraction.
