Abstract

Prabuku Smart City application is a miuisterial based program and a complain belonging to the city of Prabumulih gvETNCt in cooperation with department of cammoication and informatics along with the city's occupation and chvil registry The application released in 2020 and the official lauchof 2021 ams to minimee illegal charges and suppress public costs. Through qualitathe methods, the shudy ams to see communication strategies carried Ont by the city's Prabumulih goerzment and to see inhihitory factors in socializing Prabuku Smart City applications. Thestudy uses communication strategy theory by Hafied Cangara (201J: 76). Data collection techniques in this study were carried out throngh in-depth mterviews, field observations and documentation studies. The results show thar the Prabumulih City Gowernment has not implemented the five dimensions of commuication strategy theory optimally, this is because there are interrelated inhibiting factors in socializing the Prabuku Smart City application.
