Abstract

This research discusses about business development strategy of Cracker in Air Gading, Ogan Komering Ulu.The purpose of this research is to know about the condition of cracker businessin Air Gading of Ogan Komering Ulu andto know about business development strategy in Air Gading, Ogan Komering Ulu. The research method used is Descriptive Qualitative. Data collection techniques were carried out in this research are observation, interviews, and documentation. This research was conducted with analysis SWOT, namely data analysis that shows business development can be determined by a combination of internal and external factors which is strength, weakness, opportunities, threats factors. The result of thisstudy revealed that the business of cracker in Air Gading mostly ditributed to agen, store, stall and they only sell the product arround Baturaja city. The problem appear because of the competition between the seller, the limitation of the capital, the raw material scarcity and the limitation of productions tools it makes the business cracker in Air Gading implement the productions using human resourcest. The strategy that the business of cracker in Air Gading to develop their business is only focusing on 2 sector which is the marketing fields and product inovation.
