Abstract
Adsorption of procion red dye has been done from songket industry liquid waste using eggshell. Eggshell was activated using activator of NaOH 15%. In this research, the effect of eggshell weight, contact time, particle size of adsorbent and pH was analyzed to determine optimum condition. The result showed that the optimum adsorption using eggshell are weight at 0.95 gram, contact time at 90 minutes, particle size at 100 mesh and pH 6 for volume of sample 50 mL. Procion concentration adsorbed was 42.1959 mg/L with adsorption effectivity 84.39%. After it aplicated to liquid waste at the optimum condition, the procion red concentration adsorbed was 325.7732 mg/L with adsorption effectivity 84.55%.
