Abstract

This research is entitled "The Role of Women in Families During the Covid-19 Pandemic (Study of Women Working as Honorary Teachers at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al-Ittifaqiah Indralaya)". This study aims to identify the role of women in the family during the COVID-19 pandemic as well as the obstacles. This type of research is descriptive qualitative with analytical study method. Determination of informants using a purposive technique which produces 10 main informants and 7 supporting informants. Data was collected by conducting non-participant observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The result is that during the COVID-19 pandemic, women continued to make their first efforts, namely productive, reproductive and social roles. Productive roles as honorary teacher, online product distributor, snack seller. Reproductive roles as mothers and wives and social roles. The obstacle is that women often experience role conflicts because they have to perform all roles simultaneously and the decrease in income requires women to help fulfill the family economy. But all of that can be resisted because they hold fast to the Al-Quran and Hadith so that the purpose of the life of honorary teachers at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah is to hope for the pleasure of Allah SWT. The conclusion is that women are a productive resource during the COVID-19 pandemic. Kata kunci : The role of women, honorary teachers, covid-19 pandemic.
