Abstract

The study aimed to prove the effect of true or false learning strategy on student learning results in economic subject in State Senior High School 1 Ujan Mas Muara Enim. This was experimental study that used quasi experimental design with post-test only design study design. The population of this study were all of 10th grade social sciences students that consisted of three grades with 104 students. The sampling technique used cluster random sampling and the sample were selected randomly by drawing all of the population at 10th grade social sciences. The techniques were obtained third 10th grade social sciences with a total of 35 students as experimental grade and first 10th grade social sciences with a total of 34 students as control grade. The data were collected by test and observation. The hypothesis used parametric statistics, namely the t-test with polled variance formula and it was obtained t_counted≥t_table, 24,55 ≥ 2,177 so Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. Thus, it could be concluded that there was the effect of true or false learning strategy on student learning results in economic subject in State Senior High School 1 Ujan Mas Muara Enim. The suggestion is in implementing true or false learning strategy should guide the students who have difficulties in understanding the statements on the true or false cards.
