Abstract

This study aims to find out effectiveness of online learning using whatsapp communication media in practie, this research was carried out by giving two test question to students, namely pretest and posttest. The population of this research is the students of class X Machinning engineering, tottaling 108 people and the sample of class X machinning engineering 3 is 36 people. From that sampel, they were divided into 2 groups, namely 18 people in the control groups and 18 people in the experimental group. From the test results of the tests that have been carried out on the sample, it is obtained that average 67,78 for the experimental class pretest score with the highest score 80 and lowest score 52. And then for average score pretest class control is 62,22 with the highest score 76 and the lowest score 46. Furthermore, for the average score posttest of experimental class it was 69,33 with the highest score 84 dan low score 56. Then the average score of the control class posttest is obtained 63,33 with the highest score 76 and lowest score 52. From this result of the test can be conclude that it is true there is indeed an influence of using whatsapp communication of online learning few it from the pretest and posttest learning outcomes for students of class X machinning engineering SMKN 4 Palembang.
