Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an influence from the covid-19 pandemic on the learning process in Mechanical Engineering Education students at Sriwijaya University. This research is an associative research with quantitative methods. The population in this study were students of Mechanical Engineering Education Class 2018, 2019 and 2020, totaling 191 people and a sample of 128 people. The research instrument used a questionnaire that was tested with 30 students from the research sample. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis which is useful for describing data from each variable, analytical requirements test which is useful for testing normality and linearity of data and hypothesis testing is useful for knowing t-test and f-test. The result of this study indicate that the significance value obtained is 0.000<0.05 and the t value is 7.974 >1.979, this means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, so that there is an influence on covid-19 on the learning process by 33.5% and the rest is influenced by other factors. The conclusion of this study is that the COVID-19 pandemic affects the learning process of Mechanical Engineering Education students at Sriwijaya University.
