Abstract
This study aims to determine the increase in learning outcomes, motivation and student?s opinion on Think Pair and Share learning model that has been applied. Subjects were first semester students who took Basic Chemistry I course. This study used a class action research which carried out in three cycles. The results showed an increase in student learning outcomes in cycles I, II and III respectively of 7.20 ± 1:13, 7.80 ± 1.16 and 8.70 ± 1.13. The measurement results through the questionnaire on student learning motivation on cycle I shows scores of students? motivation classified as quite enough, that is equal to 3.45, on the second cycle, the score is quite high, that is 3.83 and increased to 3.92 in cycle III. Based on questionnaire data analysis showed a positive response of students to Think Pair and Share learning model that has been applied. It can be concluded that the Think Pair and Share learning model can increase student motivation and learning outcomes.
