Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara partisipasi orang tua dengan motivasi siswa putri dalam mengikuti ekstrakurikuler olahraga bola basket di SMPN 40 Palembang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif korelasional dengan teknik korelasi. Dan dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 40 Palembang. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 13 orang, dengan teknik total sampling atau populasi sample yaitu siswa putri SMP Negeri 40 Palembang yang mengikuti ekstrakurikuler bola basket. Berdasarkan hasil survey yang telah disajikan dalam table koding, dapat dicari nilai korelasi antara Partisipasi Orang Tua (X) dengan Motivasi Siswa Putri dalam mengikuti kegiatan olahraga bola basket (Y). Nilai korelasi akan dihitung dengan menggunakan rumus uji korelasi Bivariat (Product Moment Pearson) dengan menggunakan SPSS 10.0 for Windows sebagai berikut: Ada hubungan yang tinggi antara partisipasi orang tua dengan motivasi siswa putri dalam mengikuti kegiatan ekstra kurikuler olahraga bola basket dengan diperoleh nilai r sebesar 0,777. Adapun nilai r table dengan taraf signifikasi 5% atau taraf kepercayaan 95% sebesar 0,533. Dengan demikian setelah dikonsultasikan dengan table, ternyata nilai r lebih besar dari r table. Hal ini menunjukkan hubungan yang signifikan atau hubungan yang berarti antara partisipasi orang tua dengan motivasi siswa putri dalam mengikuti kegiatan ekstra kurikuler olahraga bola basket.
