Abstract
The research was aimed to know the effect of substract composition and starter dosage of Trichoderma spp and its interaction between with dry matter, crude protein and crude fiber at rice straw. This research was started on December 2007 until January 2008. It was held at Ani mal Feed and Nutrients Laboratory for the growth of Trichoderma spp starter and in the Chemistry Laboratory and Agriculture Product Laboratory of Agriculture Technology Departments, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University for the analizing of dry matter, crude protein and crude fiber. The reseach method used in this research was the Randomize Completely Design Factorial. The treatment consist of two factors : A factor (substract composition) and B factor (starter dosage of Trichoderma spp). A factor : Al = 80% Rice Straw + 20% Rice Brain A2 = 90% Rice Straw + 10% Rice Brain B factor : BI = 5%, B2 = 10%, B3 = 15% The composition and starter dosage showed significantly different (P<0,05) effect the of crude protein and crude fiber, but had not effect (P>0,05) of dry matter. The interaction between substract composition and starter dosage significantly effect to crude fiber but had not to dry matter and crude protein.The research concludes that the best starter Trichoderma spp dosage in rice straw fermentation 15% with 90% substract composition of rice straw + 10% rice brain gives 87,02% of dry matter product, 10,31% crude protein and 30,42% cmde fiber.
