Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Hubungan Kekuatan Otot Lengan Dengan Hasil Shooting Bola Basket Pada Siswa Putra Kelas XI SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Palembang” Permasalahan yang diangkat adalah Hubungan Kekuatan Otot Lengan Dengan Hasil Shooting Bola Basket Pada Siswa Putra Kelas XI SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Palembang?. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa besar Hubungan Kekuatan Otot Lengan Dengan Hasil Shooting Bola Basket Pada Siswa Putra Kelas XI SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Palembang. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian korelasi atau hubungandan yang menjadi populasi adalah seluruh siswa putra Kelas XI SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Palembang, sedangkan sampel untuk penelitian ini adalah 30 orang siswa putra Kelas XI SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Palembang.Tehnik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah metode tes yang secara langsung melakukan tes dan pengukuran terhadap setiap sampel yaitu dengan cara melakukan tes handgrip dynamometer dan shooting bola basket. Dari hasil pengolahan dan analisis data dengan menggunakan analisis korelasi product moment yang telah diteliti, maka dapat ditarik kesimpulan ternyata ada hubungan antara kekuatan otot lengan dengan hasil shooting bola basket pada siswa putra Kelas XI SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Palembang. Hal ini dapat diketahui dari hasil analisis data melalui penghitungan analisis korelasi product moment diketahui nilai r hitung lebih besar dari r tabel (0,967 > 0,361) pada tingkat kepercayaan (a) = 0,36 dengan jumlah sampel N=30 ternyata ada hubungan antara kekuatan otot lengan dengan hasil shooting. Dengan demikian dapat dikatakan bahwa seseorang yang melakukan handgrip dynamometer sebanyak mungkin dapat meningkatkan kekuatan otot lengan dan jauh jaraknya shooting sangat tergantung pada kekuatan otot lengan seseorang tersebut. Kata kunci : Hasil shooting bola basket, kekuatan otot lengan.
