Abstract
The goal of this research was to study the effect of Pb concentration in forages to its digestibility (in vitro). It was done through two stages : (1) Pb analysis in forages using Atomic Absorbans Spectrophotometer method (2) Forages Digestibility analysis exposed to Pb using in vitro method. This research was held for one month from Mei to June 2009 in Animal Nutrition and feed laboratory of Study Program of Animal Nutrition and feed, Agriculture Faculty of Sriwijaya University This research using Completely Randomized Design with 4 treatment and 4 replication. Treatments were various forages from location highly suspected exposed to Pb. There were R0 (Panicum maximum originated from Animal Nutrition and feed forages collection as control), RI (Panicum maximum originated from trans Sumatera highway), R2 (Brachiaria brizantha originated from trans Sumatera highway) and R3 (Hymenachne amplexicaulis from swampy area originated from trans Sumatera highway). The result shows that Pb exposed forages has no significant result (P>0,05) on dry matter digestibility and organic matter digestibility, highest Pb concentration on RI (2,447 ppm) has highest dry matter digestibility and organic matter digestibility (55,72%). Presumably dry matter digestibility and organic matter digestibility were affected by its forages variety and nutrition contains than to its Pb concentration. N-amonia were also unaffected by the treatments (P>0,05).
