Abstract

The research is based on the limited information on knowledge about the folklore of Serunting Sakti (Si Pahit Lidah) which has slowly made the history of the wisdom of the Lahat area folklore almost lost, eaten by the times, which will constantly evolve. The method that intends to understand phenomena about what is experienced by research subjects such as behavior, perceptions, motivations, actions and others holistically and by way of description in the form of word and language, in a special context that is natural and with using various scientific methods. The results of this study indicate that the cultural values of the Serunting Sakti folklore can be implemented using several examples of RPL that are in accordance with those in the Service Operational Guide (POP) tailored to the needs of providing Guidance and Counseling service in schools. Based on the results of the analysis of the stories of Serunting Sakti, cultural values that can be implemented in Guidance and Counseling services are the good character or traits (brave, persistent, diligent and patient) of the Serunting Sakti character and moral messages that can be used as good examples in social life including from there are many cultural stories in Lahat that are still unknown to the people themselves.
